Cross Country

The annual Cross Country was held on 3 Apr, it was a perfect autumn day & student participation was up on last year. Well done to all students who participated & gained points for their house.

A special thank you to Mr Cook & Mrs Jones for another successful event & to all the staff for overseeing the route & ensuring it ran smoothly.

CUNNINGHAM was the overall house winner, followed by Stewart, Oxley & Parkes.

Touch Football

Our open boys & girls touch football students playing in Inverell on 8 April. Girls won 3 games but then lost to Glen Innes. Boys lost 2 games, drew 1 game & won 1 game. Well done to everyone & thank you to Mrs Cooper & Mr Cook for taking them.

Swimming

Congratulations to Annie Potter on her selection into the Nationals on the Gold Coast. A fantastic achievement, Annie carved up the pool in her 50m Butterfly event & swam her best! We are very proud of you.

CHS Swimming Championships

THS had 9 students compete at the CHS swimming championships as Sydney Olympic Park. It is a great opportunity for rural students to compete against city schools. All our students represented THS with pride & swam their best. Annie Potter made the 50m Freestyle finals & placed 7th & achieved a PB swimming brilliantly. Well done to all students & thank you to their parents for taking them & to Mrs Cooper our THS sports representative.

Rugby League

Well done to Darcy Rolph, Xavier Cusack, Phelix Lavea, Axel Bates, Jaylan Fuller & Toby Rolph who went to Armidale today with the New England team to trial for the Greater Western Rugby League team. The boys played extremely well. Darcy (opens), Jaylan & Axel (U15) made the possible & probable's game. Congratulations to Jaylan for his selection into the North West Team.

Well done to Ava & Jaylan who participated in the Greater Region Rugby League trials in Coonabarabran. They both played exceptionally well, Congratulations to Ava who was selected as starting hooker in the Greater Western side. Ava will head to Woolongong later in May to compete at the CHS trials.

Soccer

Well done to Ellie Merchant, Olivia Merchant & Jasmine Finnerty who played in the North West open soccer trials. Congratulations to Ellie for her selection & Jasmine was chosen as a shadow reserve.
