Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,

What a great start it has been to Term 2. The students have settled back into a learning routine.

It has been wonderful to see our students displaying their personal best at Cross Country today.

Well done to all the students who participated. A huge thank you to Mrs Gray and the teachers who organised the day. With out the efforts they put in, days like today could not go ahead.

Hats

At the end of this week, students will no longer be required to wear their hats outside while in the yard. We still encourage sun smart behaviours and recommend that students wear hats while outside throughout the year.

ANZAC Day

Thank you to our School Leaders who participated in the ANZAC Day Ceremony in town last Thursday 25 April. Laying a wreath on behalf of our school is a very important role to play. Well done to Toby R who also recited a poem in front of a large crowd. To our families who supported our students to attend the Ceremony, we thank you.

The school community also commemorated ANZAC Day at assembly on Friday.

2025 Enrolments

If you know any families who are looking at enrolling at SHNPS, please encourage them to make a time and visit our school. We invite prospective families to tour the school during learning time to showcase the great learning we do here at SHNPS.

GRIP Leadership

On Tuesday our Student Leaders attended the Grip Leadership Conference. It was a super engaging conference with lots of strategies to support their role as leaders in the school.

Thank you to Bree and Bianca for taking the students down to Bendigo to be part of this opportunity.

COVID

COVID is appearing once again in our community.

We encourage any students who test positive to COVID to isolate until all symptoms are gone before returning to school.

Walk Safely to School Day

Next Wednesday 8th May is Walk Safely to School Day. Students can meet at George Lay Park at 8.30am. Please do not arrive any earlier than this as staff will not be there to supervise.

Staff will then walk back with students to school.

We look forward to seeing our students walking to school on Wednesday.

School Council

Our School Council is seeking enthusiastic parent representatives to join our team.  School Council is our governing body which makes important decisions at the school. If you are interested in being part of the Council please contact me.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Brea
