‘Music Amongst the Autumn Leaves'

The BMGS Stage and Rock bands performed at the ‘Music Amongst the Autumn Leaves’ last Saturday afternoon. This annual event held at the beautiful 'Old Farm' Yellow Rock features musical performance from several lower Blue Mountains school ensembles. Supported by Blue Mountains Rotary club, all admission funds raised are distributed to the school’s music departments to purchase new resources.

Stage band opened the second half of the concert with ‘Bossa de Java’, ( Bruce Pearson) followed by the jazz standard ‘How High the Moon’ (Morgan Lewis) concluding with band favourite, ‘Pass the Hot Sauce’ (Ciechomski). The Senior Rock Band then took to the stage performing their original composition 'No Name', 'Notion' by Kings of Leon followed by an energetic rendition of 'My Delirium' by Lady Hawke which had the audience rocking!

Congratulations and thank you to all the students who performed on Saturday afternoon. Thank you also to the many parents who attended the event to support us.
