On Friday 3rd May, all year 11 VCE students attended the 2024 Careers Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Students were offered an opportunity to engage with guest speakers, TAFE's, universities from Australia and around the world to explore options for beyond school. Information covered throughout the seminars or the exhibitors included:

• Tertiary Course-Universities, Tafe colleges and training providers
• Careers
• Employment and cadetship Opportunities
• Study Advice
• Gap year options and international exchange
• VCE resources for subjects-English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Legal Studies, Business Management, Psychology, Health and Human Development
• Student support services
• Tutoring services, lecture and study skills programs
• Youth Services and programs

It was fantastic to see all Year 11’s on the day engaged in the expo and representing the Sunbury College school values. 

2024 Trades Fit Expo – Young Women in Trades and Tech

On Wednesday 8th May, a number of year 9 & 10 female students attended the 2024 Trades Fit Expo – Young Women in Trades and Tech at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Students were offered an opportunity to engage with guest speakers and explore the exciting world of Trade and technology industries. Students learned about rewarding career paths and career opportunities in industries such as electrical, automotive, aviation, plumbing, marine, robotics, clean energy, gaming, and others. It was fantastic to see all students experiencing a range of hands-on activities, demonstrations and being engaged in discussions with women who are working in diverse industries.
