Hai semua (Hi everyone)!

 

It has been a great start to the term, with all students embracing our new topics and content. Here is what we will be working on this term:

 

FOUNDATION (focus on songs and stories):

- I can participate in songs and chants. We will focus on student participation and learning to recognise familiar Indonesian words, such as numbers, in stories and songs.

 

GRADE ONE (focus on Zoo Animals):

- I can present factual information at word and simple sentence level, such as lists or labels

- I can read texts with the teacher and peers

 

GRADE TWO (focus on Zoo Animals):

I can present factual information at word and simple sentence level by descriptions and sharing/news reports, relying on formulaic language and modelled examples

- I can use the pronoun kamu (meaning 'you')

- I can respond to questions with names and numbers (up to ten)

 

GRADE THREE (focus on Pets):

- I can recognise that word order differs from English

- I can differentiate statements from questions according to intonation

 

GRADE FOUR (focus on Pets):

I can respond to questions (Berapa? Apa?  Apakah?), often by using a simple phrase

I can present factual information in texts such as descriptions, lists and tables

- I can use adjectives, including adjectives of size and colour (for example, besar, merah, tinggi, lucu), following the noun

 

GRADE FIVE (focus on My Friends and Me):

- I can use possessive pronouns with some accuracy (for example, Nama teman saya…)

I can describe character and appearance using noun + adjective word order

 

GRADE SIX (focus on My Friends and Me):

- I can translate texts, relying on formulaic expressions

- I can  respond to questions  Apa?, Siapa? Berapa? and Di mana
