YEAR 7-9 NEWS

TERM 2

Year 7

Some Year 7's have written a recount of their time at Camp:

Manaia Henry

On the 6th of May we went on Camp to Angelsea Recreation Camp. We went from Monday 6th of May to Wednesday 8th of May. We got to do many different activities like beach carnival, giant swing, vertical challenge, radio roadgain, MTB, canoeing, raft building and night activities. Out of all of the marvelous things we did my favourite was the giant swing. The giant swing is about 18 metres high in the sky. When you get high enough you can see the beautiful view and if you look around you can see the beach. When you feel like you're done with going any higher the instructor tells the people who are pullinh you to brace themselves and if you're the person on the giant swing, you pull a little rope which lets you go swinging.

Year 7 camp was one of the best camps I have been on. When we first came they welcomed us nicely. We had a great lunch and chat about what camp was about. After that we found out our cabins, my one was the best. I got all my friends. We unpacked all of our stuff and then got ready to go to the beach and got in our activity groups. As we walked down to the beach we said some chants and cheered on our group.  At the beach we did lots of activities and that was only day one! Camp was so much fun and it will be one of my best memories.

On Monday all the Year 7's from classes A-E went on camp in Anglesea for 3 days. My favourite activity was mountain biking. That was really fun.  We went on 2 trails, a little one and a big one. This was my second time at this camp but it was definately better this time.
