I am pleased to provide an update on the building works currently underway at Kempsey High School. As you may be aware, we have been undergoing significant construction and renovation works to enhance our facilities and provide a modern and safe learning environment for our students.

I am delighted to report that the building works are progressing well, with all projects on schedule. The library upgrade has finished, and students have been utilising this great new space since late term one. The Wellbeing Hub should be finished towards the end of August. The two new demountables, one a Year 12 Study Space and the other a new classroom, have been delivered and installed and are almost ready for use. The quad upgrade, all going well, will be put out to tender very soon after the issues we have had with the quad have finally been addressed by the department. The air-conditioning of all spaces in B block are also at the tender stage and we hope to have work occurring here before next summer.

The new demountables are two state-of-the-art classrooms with flexible learning spaces and cutting-edge technology to support our students' education. The renovations for the Wellbeing Hub will also improve accessibility and safety across the school, including upgraded amenities and improved pedestrian access.

Despite the construction activity, our students and staff have continued to thrive, and we are grateful for their cooperation and understanding during this time. We are excited to see the finished product and look forward to enjoying our new facilities in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
