Literacy

Our big focus this term will be on Non-Fiction texts, discussing the structure and text features and summarising non-fiction texts. It would be wonderful if you could encourage your child to explore non-fiction texts by topic interest and discuss facts learnt after reading.

We will continue our daily routines including paired fluency, phonological awareness and daily word study practice. Please continue to read daily with your child and ensure they return their reading bag on a daily basis. 

Sunshine Library is a fantastic resource that has wonderful programs and books to explore, as a way to foster a love of reading with your child.
