INSPIRING CURIOUS MINDS

From the Principal......

CAMP

This week we held a very successful, fun and tiring 3-6 camp. Thank you to our parents, Scott, Sim, Adeline, Cori, Nelle and Brett who gave up their time and made camp possible. You were an amazing support and we appreciate everything you did for our kids. Our education support officers, Mrs E and Ms Dillon, were incredible; supporting our kids, leading groups and bringing such positivity. We are so grateful to our teachers, Ms Stephens, Ms Webb, Ms Feast, Ms Rosen, Mr Van Hees, Ms Abbott and Mr Huyhn, for their on-going passion and commitment. They really went above and beyond to make each child’s camp experience as positive as it could be. Ms Huyhn’s management of medications was outstanding! And last but certainly not least, a MASSIVE thank you to our camp coordinator, Mr Beattie who spent many hours behind the scenes so that our kids could have this amazing experience.

BOOM GATE UPDATE

Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot to report. Negotiations between Parks Victoria and the Victorian School Building Authority continue. I’m am hoping to receive some news in the near future.

CLASSES FOR 2024

As you know, we make the decision as to whether to have straight or composite classes based on what’s best for our kids. It is never easy and there are so many factors to consider. We are in the final stages of making that decision. I will update you in the next newsletter.

UNIFORM

Thank you, parents and carers, for supporting our students to wear the correct uniform. I have noticed a real improvement and appreciate your support.

REFERENDUM

Don’t forget to come and vote in the referendum tomorrow. We have a polling booth onsite and have a democracy sausage and bake sale on offer. My sincere thanks go to Louise Pedersen, who has pulled this event together quickly and worked tirelessly to make it happen. I’m grateful to those families offering their time or making donations.

Lastly, I would like to encourage you to volunteer for up-coming events. We are seeing lots of the same faces at these events and it’s always wonderful to share the load.
