Year 6 News
Unit Of Inquiry
Last term, the Year 6 students began their new Unit of Inquiry – ‘How we organise ourselves’.
The central idea is ‘Economic activity depends on systems of production, exchange and consumption of goods and services.’
The students are holding a ‘Mini Market’ on Thursday 2 November to provide lunch for the Prep to Year 5 students and BNPS staff. Their goal is to raise funds that will go towards the cost of entertainment, food and venue hire for their Year 6 Graduation evening.
The Year 6 students have created mini businesses with their peers and have collaborated to decide on their product. There are a variety of drinks and savoury/sweet food items on offer for pre-purchase.
Below is a short spiel advertising the products and there will be a Compass post next week with instructions for how to order lunch for the Mini Market Day.
We have already received lots of positive feedback for this student initiative in the form of donations from the local community and we look forward to your support with placing orders for your child. We are all super excited for a fun, eventful and rewarding day for all!
