This past week I witness a record number of students on stage at our Celebration Assembly! Students received awards for great behaviour, academic achievement, perseverance, improvement, collaboration and attendance. We acknowledged our student reporters (in Press Gang) and heard about a new attendance strategy for term 4.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure to watch every student in the school participate in our Dancing through the Decades performance. What a wonderful show of talent and determination! Thank you to the teachers, who worked on each class performance - as well as the parents who supported students with costumes and practicing at home. It was a lovely way to end our term - with the whole school community coming together for a show, a sausage and a cool drink!
Last week I celebrated students who received a Pro-star award this term - an award for exceptionally good behaviour. We had pizza in the staffroom! One family had all 3 kids involved - can you spot them?
Our School Admin and Support Staff (SASS) are the backbone of our school - they keep the office going, the grounds maintained, students supported and parents communicated with! We are luck to have such a great team - thank you to you all.
Changes around our school environment - especially the gardens...
And these before and after photos...
I wish everyone a safe, restful and happy holiday break.
School returns on Monday 9 October for all students - 9am GEPS-Fest in the hall.
I will be on leave for the first 2 weeks of term 4 - Mrs Sarah Mellish will be reliving as Principal.
