Principal's Report

What beautiful weather to finish term 3 and hopefully it lasts for the next two weeks as the term break is almost upon us.

We will be having our final assembly for the term on Friday commencing at 2pm.  Our assembly will be held on the oval at our amphitheatre.

Term 3 has been a very busy and productive term for us all.  The students have had the opportunity to share their learning with their parents, they have celebrated the conclusion of their Units of Inquiry with a variety of Year Level showcases as well as the Year 6 Exhibition as highlights of the term.

Term 3 has been a very busy term for our senior students in sport.  The children have participated in several athletics carnivals and several of our sports Winter Teams have progresses to higher levels of events including district, regional and state finals.

Our 2024 Prep Transition Program has commenced as has the Year 6 to Year 7 transition activities with our local secondary colleges.

Product Safety Recall

As posted on Compass yesterday, we received communication from one of the Father’s Day stall suppliers that a product we sold at the stall this year has a fault and they have issued a PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL.

The USB cable supplied by the manufacturer for the LED Flashlight Rechargeable Strobe Torch with strap (Product) is defective in that it is unable to handle charging currents higher than 1A.  This means that if the USB cable is used in common third-party fast chargers, or high-power chargers, there is a risk that the USB cable could overheat and catch fire.

Please return the USB Cable to the Office. The supplier intends to provide a suitable replacement within 21 days. We thank you for your understanding, and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Coffee Van

In celebration of Father’s Day, a coffee van was at BNPS Friday 1 September for all of our BNPS parents and friends.

It was so lovely to see parents having a chat in the school grounds and starting the day in such a lovely way. We are planning to have the coffee van here on a regular basis for our parents to enjoy.

Colour Run

We are hosting a Colour Splatacular School Run 4 Fun with Australian Fundraising on Wednesday 1 November @ 2:30pm

Fundraising will open on the 4 October and your child’s sponsorship booklet along with an accompanying letter will come home that day so you can get started.

There are many wonderful prizes students can earn through their individual fundraising.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to vote for their favourite fete logo. You will now start seeing this logo around as the Fete Committee get the ball rolling organising a fun day for the whole school community.

Thank you, Lauren McClymont, very much for the 3 beautiful designs that you made for our community to vote on and subsequently for our Fete.

Sport Team Colours Day

The Student Agency Team hosted a Sport Team Colours Day on Wednesday 13 September to celebrate the end of term and support their favourite professional team or local sport team. Students and teachers wore their favourite footy, basketball, soccer, netball etc. colours/uniforms.

The SAT Team will be hosted some mini sport games at recess, for anyone who would like to join in on the fun.

The teachers played against the Year 6 boys at a football match on the oval at lunch time.  The boys out beat the teachers in the game, it was so lovely to see all the students cheering them on.

R U OK? Day 2023

Tomorrow fort the last day of term, in recognition of R U OK? Day the staff and students of B.N.P.S are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow to remind our school community that every day is the day to ask, ‘Are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone, they care about might be struggling.

Congratulations to all the performers from Prep to Year 6 at BBPS annual Instrumental Soirée nights for 2023.
