School Success Starts with Attendance

Being at school every day makes a huge difference!

Dear Saltwater Families,

Term Four has just begun, and we would like to continue to acknowledge all the hard work students and families have put in to continue to improve on attendance.

There was a lot of excitement for our first day back including, Sharing artefacts, Teddy Bear picnic, Pyjama day, Minecraft challenge (Engineering experiment), Fascinating facts presentation, Class vs Class games, Graduation planning and a Welcome back BBQ.

The best part though, is that we have so many more fun activities planned over the course of this Term to help enhance student engagement and attendance, these include, Mini olympics, excursions, incursions, swimming, Christmas Carols and many many more.

Attendance Matters!

Now let's see which class has demonstrated the highest attendance this fortnight. Looks like there was a bit of a trend in this one! Congratulations to the following classes -

Prep I - 96%

1J - 97%

2J - 98%

3A - 94%

4H - 95%

5A - 91%

6A - 94%

7A - 97%

8A - 94%

Congratulations to 2J who won our whole school attendance trophy. 2J will keep hold of the attendance trophy until our next whole school assembly. We are excited to see who will win the attendance trophy next.

Just a few reminders for the remainder of Term Four.

  • Classrooms are open for continuous entry from 8.20am. It is important that students are in their classrooms at this time to complete their morning routines to set them up for a day filled with learning.
  • Students need to bring to school their wide brimmed hat for Term Four as we head into warmer weather. No hat, no play
  • If your child is absent for any reason please ensure this is communicated via the Xuno app or to your child's classroom teacher.

Please remember that missed school is missed learning. Let's continue working together to keep making these wonderful improvements in our attendance and learning.

And don't forget to keep an eye out for any special events that have been planned in your year level, so you don't miss out!
