STMM Feast Day Mass and Celebrations

Our Feast Day Mass was a special occasion where we came together as a school community to honour  St Margaret Mary and give thanks for the blessings and guidance we receive. The mass was a beautiful and meaningful experience, filled with prayers, music and reflections. We are particularly grateful for Sr Faye, a founding nun of STMM who joined us.

Our Feast Day Stalls were a HUGE success. Thank you to all the parent volunteers and families who donated so generously. All proceeds raised will go towards the CEF and our STMM Christmas Appeal.

October - The Month of the Rosary

The Rosary is a cherished prayer tradition in the Catholic faith. It is not only a symbol of devotion but also a valuable tool for spiritual reflection. The Rosary involves the repetition of prayers and the meditative contemplation of key events in the lives of Jesus and Mary.

There are two main prayers we say on the Rosary beads - The Our Father and the Hail Mary. The Rosary also tells stories from the Bible about Jesus’ life and Mary. We call these stories “mysteries”and there are five sets of them.

  • Joyful Mysteries: These are happy stories about Jesus’ birth and childhood
  • Sorrowful Mysteries: These are sad stories about Jesus’ suffering
  • Glorious Mysteries: These are joyful stories about Jesus’ resurrection and going to heaven
  • Luminous Mysteries: These stories were added later and are about Jesus’ teachings
  • Mysteries of the Rosary: These are like a little bonus, and you can think about any story you like

If you would like to pray the Rosary this month, please join Ms Gravina in the church on Thursday 19th, Wednesday 25th or Monday 30th of October at 8:15am.

Congratulations Year 6

Last week, Year 6 completed the RE test. This assessment evaluates students' understanding of the Catholic Faith and their knowledge of religious teachings and traditions. Thank you to the Year 6 teacher Ms Laura Courtenay and Ms Hannah Jory for their hard work and preparation. Congratulations Year 6! We are so proud of you!
