Grade 4/5 Ozobots & Spheros

Grade 4/5 Location Maths with

Ozobots & Spheros

This week for Maths the Grade 4/5 students had the opportunity to use ozobots as part of their location unit. They first had to create a path on grid paper and write the coordinates for the path that the ozobot needed to follow. Next they got to transfer their path onto another piece of paper, using the special markers. They were able to be a little creative in their directions for the ozobots, using coloured sequences to make the ozobot do special moves such as spins, zigzags and turbo boosts!

With the spheros students had to create paths on the floor and program the sphero to move along the path. The challenge was to decide which angle they needed to use to get their sphero to turn in the right direction.
