World Day of Prayer

The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year, and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service.

It is a movement initiated and carried out by women in more than 170 countries and regions. It is a movement symbolized by an annual day of celebration – the first Friday of March – to which all people are welcome. It is a movement that brings together women of various races, cultures and traditions in closer fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year.

Next Friday, 1st March, our Year 6 students and choir students from year 5 will be attending the local World Day of Prayer Ceremony in Glen Innes at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 10.30 am. We have been asked to participate in this special ceremony by singing a hymn.

The focus country for 2024 is Palestine and the service has been prepared by the Christian Women of Palestine. The biblical theme for the service is “ I beg you ….bear with one another in love.” Ephesians 4: 4.

St. Joseph's Day

St. Joseph's Day is the 19th March. This is a special time for our school, but in particular this year as it is our 140th year anniversary of the opening of our school by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart on the 21st January, 1884 . To celebrate this momentous occasion we are inviting our parents, families and community members to join us at a 9:30am Mass, followed by games and a BYO picnic lunch back at school.
