What do you love most about working at St Joseph's College?

The school community is diverse and welcoming.

What has been your most memorable moment in your time at St Joseph's College?

Helping students develop their skills in a variety of subjects. I personally have a fond memory of the Year 8 Ball last year and enjoyed seeing the school community come together.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

Although I am not from regional Victoria, I am continuing to enjoy living and teaching in regional areas.

Teacher of Year 9 Personal Best, Hands on Learning: Cafe and Life Skills: Food.

Qualifications/Work/Study History:

I am a qualified Pastry Chef, transitioned into Textiles support, Education support for 10 years and teaching Foods, Textiles and Religion. Also a stint in MACLIT support and NCCD administration.

Length of time at St Joseph's College:

This is my second year.

What do you love most about working at St Joseph's College?

I love the camaraderie at St Joe's but also that it is a Catholic College that is proud of and expresses its values, as an inclusive faith community. It values its staff and sets high, but achievable standards for its students.

What has been your most memorable moment in your time at St Joseph's College?

Building rapport with the students so that when they achieve the small milestones or the great breakthroughs, there is shared joy (sometimes shared quietly or yelled across the yard with big grins!)

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’ve moved a lot and lived in 22 houses!

I was once Catwoman at Warner Brothers Movie World!

What do you love most about working at St Joseph's College?

Working with the students. My close group of friends on the staff. Being able to build numbers successfully in the Media faculty.

What has been your most memorable moment in your time at St Joseph's College?

Inviting TV legend Ray Martin to speak about the Australian media industry to the students in 2019. Also seeing members of my LM grow as the years go by as well as students who have studied media from Years 8-12.

What is one thing that people would be suprised to learn about you?

When given the opportunity to grow and develop, I usually succeed.
