Principal's Report

As the season of Advent begins we prepare ourselves for the birth of Christ. It is a time of reflection and patience; two things that are not always easy in the hectic world we live in.

As I reflect on 2023, I am overwhelmed by the achievements of our students and staff. Our transition to our new Kildare Campus is a highlight in this year’s calendar. Whilst the dreaming of this occurred many years ago by some still in the College and others who have moved on, the reality of Year 7 students on site at Kildare Campus is quite amazing! Dreams really do come true.

Our students have also experienced many successes academically, on sporting fields, in the arts space and in our community this year. As we wait during Advent, let us all reflect on our collective successes and the various roles we have played in these experiences.

As we head to the end of the academic year for students, it is also timely to acknowledge those staff who will also be leaving the College to take up other roles or adventures in education and other settings. May they have fond memories of their time at St Joseph’s and on behalf of our entire community I would like to wish them well in their future endeavours. I was reminded this week by a staff member just what a wonderful place this is to work, when she confidently stated in the staffroom, "this is the best, most welcoming school I have worked in over the last 35 years!" Next year we look forward to welcoming new staff into our St Joseph's family with open arms and kind hearts.

I wish all in our community a Christmas season full of hope, joy, peace and love, and pray that you are all touched by a little Christmas spirit!
