2023 Awards
Congratulations to all award winners at the 2023 Speech Day!
We were delighted to welcome back Nedd Brockmann, Class of 2016, as guest speaker.
In October 2022 Nedd set out to become the fastest person to run 3,953 kilometres from Cottesloe Beach (Perth) to Bondi, to raise awareness and fundraise for the homeless.
After running across Australia, Nedd raised $2.5 million for “Mobilise” to help combat homelessness and “PosiSchools” to improve children's mental health.
Kinross Wolaroi Principal, Dr Andrew Parry, said Nedd's remarkable story will inspire his students to create a positive change in the world.
“Nedd’s courage and commitment to help others less fortunate aligns with the values of our School,” Dr Parry said.
“As our Guest Speaker, Nedd challenged us all to go beyond our comfort zone to discover more about ourselves, to be compassionate to others, and to promote change in the world.”
Following the Speech Day ceremony, Nedd signed his new book "Showing Up" for students and families.
