Year 6

The Great Debate

This week, the Year 6 students participated in The Great Debate, where they debated on a range of current issues, including animal rights, sustainability, Olympic sports, and public transport. All students presented admirably and are congratulated on their thorough preparation and excellent teamwork.

South East Melbourne Phoenix Player Visit

To conclude the Phoenix Soar program that Year 6 students participated in during Term 3, NBL players from South East Melbourne Phoenix came to visit Essex Heights. Students and staff were so excited to meet and hear from players Mitch, Ben, Alan, Rhys and Gary. The players spoke about their experiences and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. They also challenged some students to a three-point shootout (and won!). We thank the players for taking the time to visit us!
