Term 4, Week 10
Just one more week of MSS for some of us! One more weeks to make the most of opportunities with your students and with your team. I hope upon reflection you are able to highlight the positives of 2023, and take all of the learning into Transition Week, and 2024.
Curriculum Day
Monday 11th December will be a Curriculum Day with a significant focus on moving forward into 2024. Think, student profiles, developing norms, setting the scene. I can’t wait to see new teams getting together, forming what will be the beginnings of something really special.
Colour Run
The Colour Run will be taking place during Transition Week. With this in mind, you will be with your 2024 classes and team. At this stage the following timeslots will utilised for the Colour Run.
9:30-10:10 Primary
11:05-11:45 Middle
12-12:40 Secondary
Please note, the MSS will participate in two groups, to alleviate congestion, and to allow students to roam more freely in their new environments, alongside unfamiliar students and staff. The MSS will participate in the following groups:
Group 1: Rooms 10- 13 (11:05-11:25am)
Group 2: Rooms 14-18 (11:25– 11:45am)
Student Profiles
We learn best from seeing, experiencing and doing. Hopefully you have taken up the opportunity to observe your 2024 students- to consider, reflect and ask questions of existing practices in place to support students. Student profiles are your ‘go to’ but remember to tap into the expertise that exists around you.
Year 6 Graduation
Looking forward to what is going to be a fabulous night. Please note, RSVP’s have now been collected and any additional seats that become available will be communicated to you shortly.
Have a wonderful week everyone. Don’t forget, it’s never too early to start celebrating Christmas… let the festivities begin!
