School Carols night
There was certainly lots of joy at our "Carols on the Hill" last night. Thank you families and friends for coming along to celebrate Christmas with us. A particular highlight for me was seeing so many children becoming more confident and happy to be up on stage (some with an extra dose of microphone confidence!) and having fun with their friends in their self-choreographed items. Sincere thanks to Cam Mitchell for his generous time and use of equipment to make the evening so successful. Thank you also to Jimmy and the parents who contributed to the bakestall/fundraisers and our school captains for emceeing the evening.

Dec 16: All Grade 2s and our Grade 3-6 Choir are invited to perform their rehearsed songs on stage at Warrandyte Community Carols evening at Stintons Reserve. This is a really excellent opportunity to build their growing confidence on stage in a friendly environment. A compass note with exact performance time will come once I've confirmed with organisers. I hope lots of students can join me at this fun event!
Shrek Jr Production 2024
Audition workshops have been completed this week. We are now in the final stages of matching students to particular roles - not an easy decision with the talent amongst them all!! Thank you parents for your tireless work behind the camera in prepping and supporting your children to audition. You should be so proud of them. As you are very much aware, trying out for roles requires such effort, courage, resilience, patience (and acceptance when things don't fall the way you hope). When the dust has settled, we know this production will be a magical experience to be a part of and every child will shine their own unique light on the stage.
Key dates:
Tuesday 12 Dec - Lunchtime auditions for featured dance roles (come prepared having learnt the dance routine that was emailed out to cast this week)
Principal cast will be announced by Dec 20 2023.
February 2024 - Shrek cast to attend lunchtime rehearsals and final commitment is required by start of March 2024. Fees will also be due then.
