Student Achivements

The following students represented Belmont High School at the recent School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships held in October in Melbourne. In most cases the students qualified by winning their event at first Division athletics, then again at Western Region athletics before competing in a final of 8 students from schools across the state. They achieved the following results:

Marley Walker: Long Jump: 3rd  - Bronze Medal

Harry McDonough:  400m:  3rd  - Bronze Medal

Finn Callachor: 100m Hurdles: 2nd  - Silver Medal

Lucy Nwanko:  200m:  4th and High Jump: 8th

Poppy Nivarovich: 800m: 8th and 1500m: 7th

Lachlan Richini: 1500m walk: 7th
