Merry Christmas 2023
Dear St John's Community,
As we wrap up the year, I want to take a moment to extend my best wishes to everyone in our school community. In between the jigs and the reels of the recent events, from the Colour Run to the Disco, to the Bush Christmas and many other events I have once again been floored by the positive support we have had from the community.
Even during the last few weeks with the additional layer of having to weather the uncertainty around the security matters we have had to work with, the school community has rallied and shown that we can come together and live life to the fullest and support each other while doing so. I believe this reflects the collaborative spirit of our community.
I pray that this holiday season brings you all many moments of love, laughter, and joy with your families and friends.
I would especially like to acknowledge our Grade 6 students who had their graduation ceremony last night at St John's Church. They have completed one chapter of their life and are about to embark on another and we wish them all the best.
What a wonderful night we had. The kids had a lot of fun and from what I heard on the night the parents and extended families also enjoyed it too. Thanks so much to Kate, Nadia and all the parents who helped organise the evening and a special thanks to Mr Caine for bringing the concert and dancing together with the kids.

Dear God,
thank you for Christmas.
Thank you for all the fun and happiness. It’s good to share food, games and presents.
Thank you for special times with family and friends.
But most of all, we want to thank you for giving us Jesus. The greatest present ever.
Your Son, part of you, to be with us.
Thank you for loving us that much.
Help us to remember you this Christmas. Amen.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with peace, happiness, and lots of cherished memories.
Kind regards,
Derek Bruitzman

For those who missed it last time!
Agreement has been reached in adding an option for a St John's Beanie, a spray jacket (lightweight raincoat) and a heavier softshell jacket. These will not replace anything, they will just be available for those people who want them.
We've also agreed to remove the idea of a summer/winter uniform/sports uniform and simplified it to School Uniform / Sports Uniform. There are no 'changes' to the uniform beyond making the items above available to purchase.
Sunsmart school hats are still required for playtimes in Term 1 and 4 but beanies can be worn anytime outside those times.
This is what the structure will look like for 2024:
