Captains Corner

Welcome GWPS community, to our final newsletter of the year. It has been a wonderful year, with countless unforgettable memories and unique experiences. As we depart from our wonderful second home, we would like to thank our teachers, and Mr Catalano, our wonderful principal, who have supported us throughout the entire journey. All the families, who have been with us from the start, all the way to the end. And our lovely peers.

Our time here was filled with many adventures and have shaped us into the amazing people we are today. So many exciting opportunities were made throughout this entire year, like our Indigenous Garden, which lead to the Indigenous Art Competition. Sports tournaments and the Uno competition, which inspired passion, and the ability to try new things. There were so many more, like our production (Enter the Multiverse!), International Women’s Day, World Teacher’s Day and the Council of International Schools (CIS) meeting. 

We have been honoured to leave a lasting legacy at this incredible school, as your 2023 School Captains. This wonderful opportunity of leadership has morphed and changed us in many positive aspects and allowed us to leave a mark. We have enjoyed every moment of this journey, and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.

This has been an impeccable experience for all of us. However, this wouldn’t have been possible, without the many people who were with us all through the way. Once again, thank you to Mr Catalano, the teachers and all the staff members, who without you, it wouldn’t have been such a journey and an amazing final year of primary school. Thank you to all the families, that have helped us along the way. And thank you to our peers, who are the heart and soul of our community.

As we come closer to the end of the year, we are very grateful for the unforgettable opportunities we have been given to learn and grow together as leaders. We hope we will leave you with many amazing memories.
