Foothills Visit

Our Junior School Council representatives visited Foothills Community Care on Thursday to donate food items that we collected from our school community. CEO and founder Stephen talked to the students about the charity and where our donations will be going. For the rest of our visit, we sorted out all the food items and packed gift bags ready to give out to those in need this Christmas. As you can see from the photos, we made up many bags!

Thankyou to Mrs Toner, Sean Sloan & Jay Iape for driving students.

We encourage our representatives to be the reason someone feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued and supported.

Thank you school community for your donations!

Junior School Council

Hi friends at Jells Park PS

As we approach Christmas and near the end of 2023, we wanted to reach out to you to say a massive THANK YOU to you for your incredible support of us over the past 12 months, and indeed over many years now.

Without our generous partnership together, we would not be able to do what we do in supporting the lives of many people in our community.

At Foothills, we believe in the transformative power of community and have seen firsthand how providing safe, nurturing, welcoming spaces for people to come together and connect can make a significant difference, not just short term, but help change their lives. Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our initiatives, uplifting and empowering our community in countless ways.

Thanks especially for amazing donations of goodies once again.

Together, over the past 12 months, we have been able to distribute 50,000+ meals and 15,000+ care packages, and more importantly, walk alongside many people as they face complex challenges such as homelessness, family violence, trauma, mental health, sickness, grief, food insecurity, isolation, poverty and not to mention the cost-of-living increases.

Our plans are well underway for our Christmas support, including providing 450 special Christmas pamper packs throughout December and of course our 22nd annual Ferntree Gully Christmas lunches, where we will have close to 300 people over our 2 sittings.

We again thank you for your support of us and look forward to continuing our partnership into the future

We wish you all a Christmas filled with joy and meaning and a safe new year and look forward to seeing you again in 2024

Warm regards,

Stephen, Drew, Chuck and Jill
