School Concert

Wrap Up!

This year was packed, learning back-to-back about concert. Our theme this year was “Step Back in Time” and it was organised by Ms Pratt, our Music teacher and so many others. Including the parents.

Everyone included was exhausted after the program but also had lots of fun. Everyone worked very hard and very well with each other and we got the job done in the end. Thank you Ms Pratt and others for making our last concert one of the best!

This year in 2023 nine grade six students got the chance to participate in a main role for concert (Step Back in Time), which they had to audition for.

It wasn’t an easy audition because if we got chosen, we would have had to give up our snack and lunch times to perfect our play.

Each role had a different character and personality which fit into a part off our act which made it complete.

We would like to thank our Inbetweener coordinator Sue Ward for all of her time and effort that she has put into this play and us.

This journey has been a great experience that we will never forget.

On the 6th and the 7th of December all Jells Park students gathered together to perform an astonishing concert called Step Back In Time. Every grade participated and represented different decades of music from the 1950s to the 2010s. This year for the first time in a couple years, the kids brought their own costumes to school instead of getting them from the school.

During the two days we had three concert performances and afterwards we were so tired that most students took Friday off. Concert was a great experience and some would say the best in a long time.

We would like to thank the staff for their incredible support especially, Ms Ward for making the Inbetweeners lines, tweaking the kids dance moves and for working backstage with Ms Whiley and Mr Zach. And of course we have to thank the amazing Mrs Pratt for choreographing the dance moves for almost every year level and picking all the songs, without her we wouldn’t have a concert.

Lastly we would like to thank Brad from Caulfield for letting us use the auditorium and doing the lights for us.
