Physical Education

Foundation Learning Centre:

It has been an exciting “Welcome to Physical Education” for the Foundation Learning Centre! The students are having a blast playing a variety of fun games designed to help them learn how to move safely in different directions, use equipment properly, and practice simple running and catching techniques. It's been a great way for the FLC to develop their physical skills while having loads of fun. With plenty of laughter and excitement, students have built confidence in their abilities while engaging with their peers in a safe and supportive environment.

Junior Learning Centre

The Junior Learning Centre students have been focusing on mastering various basic athletics techniques. They practised throwing tennis balls to simulate shot put, allowing them to refine their strength and technique in a safe, accessible way. The students also worked on perfecting their triple jump form, emphasising coordination and explosive power to achieve greater distance. They have also focused on honing their hurdling skills, challenging themselves to run over hurdles as fast as possible while maintaining form and agility. These activities helped the students develop their athleticism and understand the fundamentals of track and field events.

MLC and SLC

In the Middle Learning Centre and Senior Learning Centre, students have been actively participating in various athletics events as part of their track and field unit. They have been learning the important skills such as, passing a baton in a circular relay, throwing a discuss and shotput with the correct technique and engaging in different fitness related activities. These skills have been practised extensively during both PE lessons and SLC sport time, where students have honed their teamwork and speed. As the term comes to a close, they have engaged in an exciting SLC sport taster unit, which has given them a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming SLC Sport next term. It’s been a dynamic and energetic term, filled with teamwork, skill-building, and a lot of athletic growth!
