Faith and Mission

As we come to the final week of the term, our community enters the most sacred time of the liturgical year—Holy Week. This is a time of deep reflection on Christ’s journey from his Last Supper to his Passion, death, and resurrection. It is an opportunity for us all to strengthen our faith and consider how we might continue to live out Christ’s message of love, hope, and service.
Throughout the week, our community participated in meaningful liturgies that brought the sacred events of Holy Week to life, offering moments of reflection, prayer, and a deeper connection to the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
A highlight of our Holy Week observance was the Procession of the Palms at our Community Mass on Friday. This beautiful tradition recalled Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We were reminded that Christ’s journey was one of humility and love and a call for us to follow in His footsteps.
As we move into Holy Week and the Easter season, we encourage all families to continue embracing the spirit of the Triduum, reflecting on its meaning in their daily lives. May the hope and joy of the resurrection remain with us as we enter a new term, renewed in faith and purpose.
Wishing you all a blessed Easter.

Good News for Palm Sunday
The Scripture
His state was divine,
yet Christ Jesus did not cling
to his equality with God
but emptied himself
to assume the condition of a slave,
and became as human beings are,
and being as all humans are,
he was humbler yet,
even to accepting death,
death on a cross.
But God raised him high
and gave him the name
which is above all other names
so that all beings
in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld,
should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
and that every tongue should acclaim
Jesus Christ as Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:6-11
The Reflection
[This] great prayer taken from Philippians is a foundational guide to our faith. God does not hold God’s self over and against us. God, in the person of Jesus, empties God’s self and enters into humanity, to the point of death on a cross. Not to remain there and wallow with us in our failing, but to rise up and draw broken humanity to God’s very being. That does not necessarily make the difficult and silent times any easier. It does, however, provide us with a vision, a hope, a way we can navigate what seems unnavigable. Thus, in the good times and the bad, what whatever faith we have, we place in our Lord God.
