Year 9 MYP Community Project: Information Sessions and launch for 2025

The Year 9 MYP Community Project will be underway in Term 2. On Thursday 27 March mentor teachers, parents and guardians attended our information session designed to guide key stakeholders through this exciting and meaningful learning experience. 

During the session essential details were provided on the project’s objectives, expectations, and the impact students can have on their communities.

To support our students please access our video recording and a comprehensive guide, offering step-by-step assistance as they plan and develop the community projects. These resources will help them explore potential areas of interest, set realistic goals, and manage their time effectively throughout the process.

The MYP Community Project encourages students to take principled action on issues that matter to them, fostering a sense of responsibility, creativity, and problem-solving. 

Throughout the year, year 9 students will receive guidance on research methods, ethical considerations, and collaboration strategies to ensure meaningful and well-executed projects.

Thank you for your continued support in making this project a success. Supporting our students to engage in principled action takes all of our school community and beyond.
