House Cross Country

On Friday 28th March, the Year 3-6 students ventured down to Cheltenham Park for our House Cross Country. This was a new experience for our students, the first time this event has been held at Cheltenham Park in my time teaching at Cheltenham PS.

We were blessed with perfect conditions for racing, bright blue skies and a slight breeze. A large contingent of parents joined in the fun, supporting from a range of positions around the course. The students crowded the start line and tore off around the course with plenty of excitement.

We had some impressive performances across the day, including a great battle for the top 4 spots in the 12/13 year old girls, just 2 seconds separated 1st and 4th place. The highlight of the day was the impressive participation rate from all students. We had a near perfect participation across all 6 events.

Courtney, Blue House, were our House Cross Country champions on the day. Scoring the most points overall.

1st Place - Courtney - 368 points

2nd Place - Wildon - 317 points

3rd Place - Cullen - 314 points

4th Place - Le Page - 266 points
