Wrapping Up Term One
Hi ENPS Families,
As we come to the end of Term One, we are thrilled to reflect on what has been a fantastic start to the year at Essendon North Primary School.
Our students, staff, and community have all been hard at work, and it’s been exciting to see so many events and initiatives already come to life.
First and foremost, we want to give a big shout out to our Foundation Students! It's been fantastic to hear that the students have been settling into school life, building friendships, and starting to engage in all the amazing opportunities our school has to offer.
It’s been a busy first term, filled with memorable moments. Some of the highlights include the ENPS Start of Year Community Picnic at Woodland Park, we had our new and returning School Council members announced, Countries of ENPS, Clean Up Australia Day, and Junior School Council Elections!
Exciting News for the Apple Tree Walkway
Have you noticed some blue pathway marks on the grass down the apple tree pathway? The students certainly have and they are just as excited as we are! It’s all happening. Construction will be going ahead these school holidays as the official pathway for this area is created. This is the final phase in having our Safe, Kind and Respectful pathway area finalised.
The first step was to remove the grass down the path between the blue lines, this makes the project easier for the construction company to get started. During the holidays, the pathway will be excavated and evened out with rounded wooden bollards concreted into the ground on either side of the path. Finished with a thick layer of compacted granitic sand upon a compacted crushed rock base. Coloured rope in our house team colours will then be attached to each wooden post down the entirety of the path.
We have included a visual representation of what the final product will look like. We are so excited to see this all happening and for you all to see it when school starts back.
What’s Coming Up in Term Two
The excitement doesn’t stop there! Term Two is already shaping up to be an action-packed one. We are eagerly anticipating the Walk-a-thon and Colour Run!
Thank you to everyone who has made Term One such a success. We look forward to all the incredible moments and events still to come this year.
Wishing you all a restful break, and we can't wait to see you in Term Two!
Warm regards,
ENPS School Council
