Year Five

Year Five and Foundation Buddies Program – Term One Highlights
What a fantastic start to the Year Five and Foundation Buddies Program this Term! The bond between our students has been growing stronger every week, and it’s been heartwarming to see the excitement and joy shared by both year groups.
Throughout Term One, the buddies have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun and meaningful activities. One of the highlights was the Letter and Shape Hunts - a great way for the Year Five students to support their Foundation buddies in learning about letters, numbers, and shapes in an interactive and engaging way. The smiles and laughter during these hunts were priceless, as the students worked together to discover and identify shapes and letters hidden around the school.
Beyond just activities, the buddies have been getting to know one another on a deeper level. They’ve shared stories about their experiences, cultural backgrounds, and individual strengths, allowing them to learn more about each other’s unique qualities. It’s been wonderful to see how both groups have embraced this opportunity to connect and celebrate the diversity and individuality within our school community.
As we look ahead, we are thrilled to continue the program in Term Two. The Year Five and Foundation buddies have already built such strong foundations, and we can’t wait to see how their relationships will grow in the coming months. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures and learning moments as our buddies continue to shine together!
We’re so proud of the positive start to this program and are excited to see what Term Two holds for our amazing buddy pairs!
