Year Three

Guest Speakers Enrich our Unit of Inquiry

As part of our Unit of Inquiry, How We Organise Ourselves, students explored:

  • The needs of individuals and communities (Function)

  • How communities meet these needs (Function)

  • The services and people who support the community (Responsibility)

To deepen their understanding, we had the privilege of welcoming parent guest speakers to share insights about their jobs and responsibilities. Their real-world experiences helped students make meaningful connections to our central idea: 'Communities respond to local needs'.

This engaging and insightful learning opportunity allowed students to see how different professions contribute to both local and wider communities.

A special thank you to our wonderful parent speakers: Emily - Agriculturalist, Nick - Train Driver, Liesel - Anthropologist and Michael - Cyber Security Specialist.

Your time and expertise made a lasting impact on our students’ learning. We truly appreciate your support in bringing our inquiry to life!

We all look forward to more fun times learning together in Term Two!

Happy holidays,
