Hi Everyone,
As we close the first term of the school year, we want to congratulate all our students for their hard work and dedication. It's been a great start to the year, with students engaging in exciting lessons, extracurricular activities, and personal achievements.
A big thank you to our teachers, staff, and families for their continued support. We look forward to more achievements in Term 2 and wish everyone a restful and enjoyable break!
Stay safe, stay positive, and see you in Term 2!
Our most recent set of LBU’s have just been published and across the campus we had an overwhelming number (214 students) of LBU averages that were 3.5 or above. We know that when students demonstrate the appropriate learning behaviours regularly in class it gives them the best possible shot at getting the most out of their learning opportunities.
I would like to congratulate the following students for scoring a perfect 4.0 for their most recent learning behaviour update and state how impressive this achievement is:
Jackson AMOS | Abigail BAILEY | Miley BUDGE |
Caleb ANTRIM | Rahaf AHMAD | Ali SEVENSON |
Pearl DOHERTY | Natalie BAKER | Matilda READ |
Alexandra FORBES | Jacinta COLLINS | Maila FOSTER |
Alika PERRY | Sage JOBLING | Willow SHIELDS |
Tiana RUSSELL | Isabella LARNER | Lily SYKES |
Our Kurnai Aspiring Athletes recently took part in an exciting day at the SUMMIT camp in Trafalgar, where they had the opportunity to engage in a variety of fun, team-building challenges. The program was designed to push students to work together, build strong relationships, and enhance their skills through dynamic activities.
The behaviour of all students was exemplary, with everyone demonstrating a fantastic attitude and commitment throughout the day. It was a great experience for everyone involved, and the student’s showed teamwork, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
Stay tuned for more updates from the KAAP program as we continue to support the growth and development of our talented students!
A Day of Triumph and Team Spirit!
On the 4th of March, we had our Athletics Day, and what a great day it was! The sun was out as students, teachers, and parents gathered to enjoy the activities and the BBQ on offer. The participation was excellent, and behaviour of all students was impressive and helped to support a positive atmosphere.
Our students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, giving their best in every event. Whether competing in sprints, long jumps, or relay races, every student involved represented the college well. It was great to see the younger students cheering on their peers, creating a sense of unity and community.
Congratulations to all the winners, but also to everyone who participated! Special thanks Rachel Dodd for her coordination and all our teachers and support staff who helped make the event run smoothly.
Athletics Day was not just about competition; it was about coming together, supporting one another, and celebrating our school spirit. We look forward to next year’s event.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made the day a huge success.
Well-Done to Yellow house who were our champion team on the day…Go Siddle house! 🏆💪
Students and families are reminded that we have a large student wellbeing support team onsite every day. The advocate’s office is a one stop shop for students to get what they need to be successful throughout the day. We encourage students to pop in and say hello or share any problems they may have that impact on their ability to learn or feel safe at school.
During term 2 students will be encouraged to speak with Team Leaders, Advocates or the Wellbeing Team if they need some support in getting extra uniform for the colder months. The Advocates are more than happy to help families that need support with uniform.
Breakfast Club will commence in term 2, each Tuesday in the Language Centre, students are welcome to pop in and enjoy some breakfast with their peers. Cereal, toast, and milo will be provided amongst other options. There will also be some Milo days during recess to warm people up as the days become colder.
Throughout Term 1 many items have been handed in to our lost property, if students have misplaced/lost any items, please contact our front office to find out if it has been handed in.
As we wrap up Term 1, we’d like to extend our gratitude to all students, staff, and families for their dedication and hard work. It’s been a good start to the year, and we are proud of the efforts of our students. With Easter just around the corner, we wish our entire school community a restful and joyful break. Happy Easter to all! See you in Term 2!
Please have a look at the 'Calendar of Events' page to see all the upcoming important dates for our school.
