Warrandyte Festival - thank you!

Thank you to all the students and families and friends for coming to support the colourful Warrandyte Festival parade once again. Everyone looked great sporting river-themed clothing and their Shrek t-shirts. Many hands on deck made it possible to carry that super long, giant snake down the road - thank you to all the helpers who took a turn in marching it along!  Also a big thank you to those who carried the ACPS giant letters, the turtle, fish and yabby. And to those who managed to blow some bubbles as they went along - multitasking, no doubt - again, a thank you! I thought our school presence was awesome and the sense of community was wonderful. I feel very grateful to be part of such a  wonderful school - you are all amazing!

We won the 'most sustainable' award for our part in the parade - go us! Nearly everything we had used had been recycled or donated as a left-over in some way. What a great award to win! We love looking after our beautiful world and doing our bit to minimise our footprint.

The students' lanterns gave the Festival a fun vibe as they hung from lots of trees and places. Our students did a wonderful job in decorating them so beautifully - thank you students for the the creativity you brought to your artwork in the lantern painting.
