Partnerships and Pathways

A Year 10 team enthusiastically embraced creativity and innovation when they headed to Oakhill College recently to compete in the ‘Step Into The Future of Living Hackathon’. Inspired and mentored by an experienced panel of industry experts, our students collaborated brilliantly to present a sustainable and tailored living solution where diverse communities could thrive. The team met their brief so professionally. The detail, creativity and persuasiveness in their pitch was amazing – with a focus on incorporating and celebrating cultural traditions in peoples’ everyday lives. Well done Ladies on representing our College so impressively!

We were excited to welcome Deepa, one of our CCC parents, who works for Google Australia/NZ at this week’s latest Lunch and Learn. Deepa presented to a big audience of students wanting to discover what it’s like to work at Google and find out more about the industry. The presentation showcased what a career at Google can offer, the changing nature of the workforce, as well as the many employment opportunities that exist in the ever-expanding technology and innovation space. Thank you Deepa!

Not surprisingly, there is a lot happening in Pathways for Year 12s at the moment! Check your inbox for an email with detailed information about the College’s goal for each Year 12 student to graduate with a Post School Pathway Plan, including resources we have provided to your daughters to help facilitate their achievement of this goal. Applications for 2025 university admissions have just opened on the UAC site and so next term we begin our Lunch & Learn presentations from the various universities to help inform students’ decision making.

ACU's Uni Step-Up is a chance for Year 11 students to experience university life by studying two first-year units while they are still in school. Participants  get a head start at university, developing uni-level study skills and discovering more about potential degrees. The units are studied in school holidays and priority for participation will be given to students who meet multiple eligibility criteria.
