Welcome to another wonderful edition of our newsletter. We hope you are enjoying the ‘year level in focus’ articles each fortnight. Our newsletter is an important means of communication to our community, and we hope that you continue to find it both enjoyable and informative to read.
2024 School Council
Congratulations to our new and returning members to our School Council. School Councils are a critical function in schools and play an important role in supporting the school to achieve great outcomes for our students.
Our elected members this year were Katrina Davey, Jackie Dzienciol, Adam Shnider, Scott Vincent and Charles Ngu (returning). They will join members elected last year, Natalie Ferguson, Louise Kuramoto, Danny Benjamin and Gary Sacks, alongside staff representatives Georgia Despotellis and Stephenie Sim. I look forward to the positive contributions from each member across the year.
Upcoming Events
We have a busy last couple of weeks of term. Please note the upcoming events:
Year 5/6 Families – Class Placement Review
Late last year I ran two online sessions regarding the class structure in Years 5 and 6. My undertaking at that time was to run a session late this term to reflect on progress with our families. I invite any interested families to join me online (via Microsoft Teams) at 5:00pm next Wednesday 20th March (link here).
CSPS Dad’s Group Catch-Up
Last year we began a ‘CSPS Dad’s Group’ and we have organised our first catch-up for this year:
Where: The Camden Town Hotel
When: Wednesday 20th March from 7:00pm.
All are welcome and I look forward to seeing you there.
Parents’ Association Meeting
Our Parents’ Association AGM was a great event to begin the year and our next subsequent meeting will be held at school on Wednesday 27th March from 7:45pm. All are welcome to attend; we look forward to seeing you there.
2024 NAPLAN Assessments
Congratulations to our students in Year 3 and Year 5, who are three-quarters of the way through the NAPLAN assessment period. The students have come into this period well-prepared and this has been evident in how they have approached each test. Well done to the two teaching teams involved for their work in preparing their classes, as well as to our families who have delivered the simple message of ‘do your best’ to their children each day.
Thanks for your ongoing support and keep doing your best.
Regards,
