Diversity in Year 5 – Cultural, celebrations, fashion, food, art, religion and dance
In our Unit of Inquiry on Diversity, students were able to choose an area of diversity – cultural, celebrations, fashion, food, art, religion or dance. They were to research their chosen area and then explain their learning about that area of diversity. Students wrote a paragraph as a rationale to present their learning on how they could enhance community using their chosen area of diversity. Students could choose the way they presented their research to the class. Some students chose to present a PowerPoint presentation to the class as well as a food item, dance, or art.

Questacon Visit
Kinder to Year 6 students had the privilege of having the Questacon team visit SCC yesterday, sharing their love of science, technology and innovation. Their mission is to excite and motivate people through inspirational learning experiences. There is no doubt that all the students walked away with a new love for science, with the well-presented, engaging and interactive presentation.
