Principal's News

Dear SMCM Community, Wominjeka!

What a settled and engaged start to the 2024 school year we have enjoyed.

It has been an exciting first term with interschool sports, swimming lessons, NAPLAN, staf professional learning, Prep Welcome Picnic, preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation,  Harmony Day Picnic and more.

Congratulations to our Foundations students who have completed their first term of primary school!

Term 2 is always action packed so be sure to check the 'Important Dates' page of our Newsletter to keep up to date with what's on.

This week we celebrate the most sacred time in our church calendar, Holy Week. The students have had the opportunity to walk in Jesus' footsteps this week as they reflected and engaged with our "Walk Through Holy Week' experience.

One man stands with honour and integrity as others humiliate and insult Him.

He chooses non-violence while others beat and torture Him.

With His last breath, He forgives instead of curses.

Think about how He has served you and where you can serve others in His name.

Congratulations to Natalie, Alan, Tommy (Franklin Homegroup) and Monza on the safe arrival of your new baby boy Ryder!

I wish you and your family a joyous and blessed Easter and a safe and restful school holidays.
