Wellbeing Term 4 Wrap Up

What a term we have had to finish off the 2024 school year! From Breakfast Club to lunch time programs, there has been a lot happening across the college. As a staff we celebrated World Teachers Day as well getting behind Movemeber and International Men’s Day with a BBQ lunch. We also had the mosaic installation that students have been working tirelessly on across the year, supported by Yvonne McLure and Jess Taranto, finished off and installed. We are very proud of all students involved as they worked together, demonstrating the school values of persistence, showing dedication and commitment as well as the value of community to achieve an amazing art piece to have displayed in our College.

“Making the mosaic with my friends was one of the things I enjoyed most, as we got to work in a group. I helped to stick the pieces onto the base with cement and mainly helped with the colours purple, pink and blue.”

Audrey B

“Working on the mosaic was really fun and it was a good learning experience. I had never made a mosaic before that, so I learned how to do it and ended up loving the finished product.” Erin S

“Working alongside my friends and librarians/helpers has been a delightful community experience. Through our educational yet humorous conversations, I also discovered a new artistic skill, creating the mosaic! My friends and I were happy to sacrifice one of our lunchtimes to lend a hand with creating this mosaic! My contribution involved a section of the pink, purple, green and teal-blue stones every Friday lunchtime! What I enjoyed most about making this mosaic was the time we spent together, building stronger connections and sharing our creativity!”

Mariella L

“My experience with working on the mosaic was interesting and was a calming activity with a satisfying result.”
