Library

Welcome to Library 2025
During the holidays we were lucky enough to redesign our Digi Tech and Library space into two different areas where we can hold DT classes and Library at the same time. Its very exciting watching the students enjoy the two spaces.
This year the CBCA ( Children's Book Council of Australia) 2025 theme is
Book an Adventure!
Their feature artist for the year, Jess McGeachin, has brilliantly captured an adventurous spirit in his artwork, which features a whimsical map filled with imaginary characters. Jess’ illustration invites young readers to embark on fantastical journeys, inspiring them to travel through the worlds that books open up. As an award-winning Australian picture book illustrator, Jess’ work encourages children to imagine, explore, and create their own adventures.
2025 is also a milestone year for CBCA as they celebrate 80 years of Children’s Book Week! For 8 decades, CBCA has been dedicated to inspiring young minds to journey through the countless worlds that books offer. Jess’ imaginative artwork reflects this mission perfectly, encouraging children to set off on adventures through time, lands, and imagination. We look forward to continuing this mission for the next 80 years and beyond!
2025 Library Captain
Our Library Captain for 2025 is Abbie M. Abbie is excited to share with you all a book review each newsletter. This newsletter she has written a letter to introduce herself.
Hello! It's me Abbie, your new 2025 Library Captain! I'm ecstatic to be your Library Captain this year. I will help out everyone if I can and I will be a great peer. Let me tell you a bit about me so you can get to know me!
One, I love books. I could read when I was about six. My favourite book has always been wings of fire. It's a great book for older kids! It's an Action/Adventure full of funky characters. I would give it a 9.8/10 rating
Two, I love being kind and helpful. I feel empathy for students alone around the yard. I try to help whenever and wherever I can.
Three, I love school!!! School helps me to deal with my worries and emotions, plus I love hanging out with my friends. Learning new things are even more fun!!
I can't wait to be your Library Captain this year! I hope you enjoyed getting to know me.
-Abbie M

Scholastic Book Club
Book Club has arrived! Look out for your copy of Book Club coming home in your child's schoolbag! It's packed with hundreds of books from just $3 to help you on your child's reading journey.
Don't forget to update your child's class in Loop and don't forget we do not accept cash for book orders - all orders are placed in the LOOP app.
Did you know that every purchase you make through Book Club earns our school 15% of the order value in Scholastic Rewards? We use these to purchase more books and educational resources for the school. Every order helps!
Help!!
We are looking for some old Enid Blyton books that are part of "And other Stories" series. If you have any you would like to donate to the school, it would be much appreciated.
We are also on the hunt for bean bag beans. If you have a half (or full) bag lying around home, we will happily take them of your hands so we can fill up our beanbags.
