Parent Contributions

Parent Contributions are available for payment on your family Compass account.

The Parent Contributions play a pivotal role in our ability to provide high-quality educational resources to our students. These contributions are the primary funding source for essential learning materials, including devices, books, online subscriptions and other materials required for our enhanced learning programs. By fulfilling these contributions, you're directly investing in the educational success and future of your child.

To make the process as convenient as possible, we offer several payment options:

  • Compass Account – upfront Card Payment
  • Compass Account – monthly Card Payments
  • Card payment at the school reception
  • CentrePay Deductions
  • BPAY
  • Direct deposit

We deeply appreciate any amount you're able to contribute. If you're currently able to pay only a portion of these contributions, please know that every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

If you wish to spend your School Saving Bonus on the In-visits/Excursions contribution, please DO NOT pay the In-visits/Excursions contribution when paying your contributions on Compass. Read the School Saving Bonus section on this page for further info.

Please contact our Business Manager if you would like any support in setting up a payment plan or need assistance setting up other payment options: colin.mountney@smps.vic.edu.au

In-Visits / Excursions

Payment

A reminder that in-visits and excursions are deemed an extra-curricular activity by School Council. This means that only students that have paid the in-visits/excursions contribution will be able to attend these exciting and educational activities.

You can utilise your School Savings Bonus to pay for the in-visits/excursions contribution. Read the SSB section of our newsletter below.

With some in-visits and excursions planned in the coming weeks, please ensure you have paid the contribution so that your child does not miss out on any of these extra-curricular events throughout the year. If your family is facing financial hardship, please contact the office to seek assistance and discuss some alternative options, as our school would not want any student to miss out unduly. CSEF may also be used to assist with payment of the in-visits and excursions fee.

School Saving Bonus - School Activities Expenditure Selection

All eligible families will have received a School Saving Bonus (SSB) email from the Department of Education in November last year, which contains your unique bonus code.

You may choose to spend your $400 SSB funding on uniforms or school activities. You must login to the SSB Portal to select how you would like to spend these funds. If you wish to spend it on uniforms, you may shop online or instore with our uniform supplier Bob Stewart.

If you wish to spend SSB funding on School Activities, such as excursions or camps, then you will need to do the following:

  1. Logon to the SSB Portal and assign some or all your $400 SSB funding to School Activities
  2. Complete the following survey to notify the school which activities to apply your funding to: School Activities Expenditure Selection

Please note that SSB funding cannot be spent on Parent Contributions such as curriculum consumables etc. It can only be spent on activities that are considered extra-curricular such as excursions and camps.

If any amount is unspent as at 1 July 2025, it will automatically become a school activities credit for future use.
