Colin Mountney (Business Manager/Team Leader)

Hi Everyone,

I’m Mr. Colin, the Business Manager at South Melbourne Primary School. I oversee Finance, HR, and Facilities at our school. I work closely with the office and leadership teams to ensure that teachers and students have all the resources and staff needed to support a world-class learning program.

As a parent of a student at our school, I believe this gives me a unique insight into both sides of the staff/parent relationship. I am constantly looking for ways to improve our school for the benefit of our children.

Having worked at over 30 schools across Victoria, I truly believe this is the best school not only to work at but also to send my children too. We are very fortunate to have so many dedicated teachers, support staff, and leaders at SMPS.

I’m always happy to help any families with queries regarding parent contributions or financing extra-curricular activities such as camps and excursions.

Kirsty Reynolds (Office Administrator)

Hello SMPS families!  

I’m Kirsty Reynolds and have been part of the SMPS Admin team for the past 4 years. I look after our Administration Office and all our new enrolments, which means I get the privilege of meeting all our new families before they start at SMPS.  I also tend to first aid, help out our volunteers with events, and generally do any other task that Mr Noel and the Leadership team need me to do!  

My husband Michael and I have three children, Lachie is 22, Tommy is 21 and Olivia is 19 so they keep us on our toes!  Outside of work I love to cook (and eat!), I enjoy reading and I play social netball. I live near the beach, so I also love taking long walks with friends. I’m very excited to be back at school to welcome our newest family additions and catch up with all our current students and families. 

Emma Meloni (Front Office)

Hi I’m Emma and I work at the reception at SMPS.

 I look forward to seeing all our current families and getting to know all our new families in 2025! 

You’ll see me at the front desk assisting you with your everyday queries, supporting student attendance, sick bay, and if you don’t get the chance to see me at reception you will most likely hear me at the other end of the phone helping you wherever I can.

A few things about me is I enjoy weekends with my family and my Greyhound Charlie as well as camping and taking any opportunity to explore Victoria. 

I hope to see you all sometime soon. 

Zoe Danaher (Library Technician)

Hello South Melbourne Primary School community,

My name is Zoe and I work in the school library on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. I have the wonderful job of keeping the library stocked with great books, assisting students when they visit the library and all the other tasks that come with running a school library.

I grew up in Melbourne and live with my husband, two children and our cat Astro. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, cake decorating and of course reading! I have a lot of new books waiting to be borrowed when school returns and look forward to seeing everyone in the library next year.  

Jai Hunt

(Jai was not able to complete this profile at the time of publication). Jai is our maintenance person and he works two days per week making sure the place is safe and well-presented. He loves working at improving the garden and fixing all the things that inevitably go wrong in a busy school.

Neel Lodhiya

(Neel was not able to complete this profile at the time of publication). Neel is our techie and he is at the school two and a half days per week. He takes care of our device program and overall IT system. He is dedicated and determined to provide the best IT system for our students that he can.
