Check out our garlic harvest! All this multiplied over the last 3 years from one original bulb brought back by Ms Crossman from Tasmania. Students enjoyed making garlic flavoured dishes in the kitchen and working together to prepare garlic for curing and braiding. Here are some facts about garlic that we have been learning about.

  • Garlic is good for our immune system
  • Garlic can be eaten fresh or cured to make it last several months
  • It has a strong smell and perfect as companion plant in the garden to reduce pesticides
  • A whole garlic is called the bulb, and segments are called cloves

The espalier fruit trees are coming along well. Soon there will be a lovely batch of fresh apples if we can manage to deter the birds.
