Year 5 Bike Ed

Despite the weather not being as kind as we had hoped, our Year 5 Bike Ed Day turned out to be a resounding success! With a bit of quick thinking and adaptability, we made the most of the situation by moving activities to the stadium. This allowed students to continue with their learning while staying safe and dry.

The Bike Ed program is designed to teach children and adults about safe riding behaviours, road rules, and how to navigate a shared environment. Through a series of practical activities, students gained essential skills to ensure they are confident and capable riders. The program emphasizes developing the physical abilities needed for safe riding and aims to prepare older students to ride independently with a strong understanding of road safety.

Our Year 5 students were fantastic in their engagement and effort, showing determination and enthusiasm throughout the day. We were proud to see their skills and confidence grow over the course of the day.

A big thank you to the teachers who helped facilitate this valuable program and to all the students who participated with such a positive attitude.
