Well done and thank you!

Well done to everyone for such a terrific year at CJC. Our children and their teachers should all be acknowledged for their progress, professionalism, focus on learning and their care of each other over the last four terms.

The community support and engagement is something we can be very proud of and we thank each and every family for your commitment to the many events and the programs offered across the school.

On a personal note, I would like to wish you all a great break and look forward to seeing you all back for the commencement of the 2025 school year. Thank you for your support, friendship and trust in the work we do at this wonderful school.

Farewell

At the end of school today we will farewe

ll staff members who are heading off to take on new challenges and places to work. Miss Owen is moving to a school in Queensland, Mrs. Sanderson is moving to MacKillop Education, Miss Brandely will join the French team at McKinnon Secondary College and Ms Oelofse is moving to a role at MacKillop Education. We thank each of them for their time in the school, their dedication to the students and their contribution to our work undertaken across all parts of the school.

We are also saying goodbye to families whose youngest child has now completed their primary education, who are moving to a different school, or abroad. Some of these families have been with us for many years, and have been a very active part of our community. We thank them sincerly and wish them all the best for this new chapter!

Welcome

We look forward to welcoming in 2025, Miss Lakesha James from Oakleigh South PS, she will be joining our year 5/6 team as classroom teacher. Mme Claire Pelage from New Caledonia will be our new Prep teacher and Manya Sikka will join our Education Support team.

Congratulations to our Class of 2024

Yesterday we celebrated our exiting students who have now completed their primary school journey. What a memorable group of young people who have left their mark in our school. Congratulations to each of you for this important milestone and thank you to the organising team.

End of school year

School finishes at 1.30 pm today. We ask families to have moved off site by 2pm so we can lock the school.

Construction works

Please note that the staff car park may be closed at the beginning of 2025, as we are preparing for the construction works in the junior building to commence. More information regarding the timeline will be shared with the community at the start of next year.

Start of the 2025 school year

School commences on Thursday 30 January for students from Year 1 to Year 6.
Prep students will commence on the 6th of February.

Please ensure you have attended to the 2025 Parent Payments in the Payment Centre of Compass by the 31st of January 2025.

Félicitations à tous pour une merveilleuse année à CJC. Nos compliments aux élèves et leurs professeurs pour les progrès scolaires, leur professionnalisme, leur engagement envers l’enseignement et leur bienveillance les uns envers les autres au cours des quatre derniers trimestres.

Le soutien continu de notre communauté scolaire est une fierté pour nous et nous tenons à remercier toutes les personnes et les familles pour leur engagement aux nombreux évènements et programmes tout au long de l’année.

Sur une note plus personnelle, je tiens à vous souhaiter d’excellentes vacances et je suis impatient de vous revoir tous pour démarrer l’année scolaire 2025. Merci de votre soutien, votre amitié et votre confiance envers le travail que nous faisons à cette école remarquable.

Au revoir

À la fin de la journée aujourd’hui, nous allons devoir dire au revoir à des membres du personnel qui partent vers de nouveaux défis. Mlle Owen partira s’établir dans une nouvelle école dans le Queensland, Mme Sanderson a accepté un rôle à MacKillop Education, Mlle Brandely joindra l’équipe française à McKinnon College et Mlle Oelofse s’est engagée à MacKillop Education. Nous dirons au revoir également à plusieurs familles dont le cadet a terminé son éducation primaire, changent d'école ou déménagent outre-mer. Certaines de ces familles nous ont côtoyées pendant de nombreuses années et ont contribué activement à notre communité. Nous les remercions sincèrement et leur souhaitons bonne chance pour ce nouveau chapitre.

Bienvenue

Nous sommes ravis d’accueillir en 2025, Mlle Lakesha James de Oakleigh South Primary School, elle rejoindra notre équipe de CM2 et 6ème en tant que professeur. Mme Claire Pelage de la Nouvelle Calédonie sera notre nouvelle professeure de grande section et Manya Sikka rejoindra notre équipe de soutien éducatif.

Hier nous avons célébré nos élèves de 6ème qui ont désormais achevé leur éducation primaire. Quelle cohorte mémorable de jeunes gens qui ont laissé leur marque à notre école. Félicitations à chacun d’entre vous pour cette importante étape et grand merci à l'équipe organisatrice.

Fin de l’année scolaire

L’école recommencera le 30 janvier pour les élèves de CP à la 6ème.
L’école recommencera le 6 février pour les élèves de grande section.

Travaux de construction

Veuillez noter que le stationnement des employés pourrait être fermer au début de 2025 en préparation pour les travaux de rénovation du bâtiment des juniors. Plus d'information suivra au début de l'année prochaine.

Assurez-vous de remplir toutes vos obligations sur Compass, particulièrement dans la section Payment Centre avant le 31 janvier 2025.
