Last week during Nature Play, our Prep students used a fungi identifier chart to see what they could find at our neighbouring Lambert Park.

Meanwhile there was some very creative and original play with our Year 1 students during their nature Play session. A large piece of bark as a boat and then as a coolamon to present ‘garden salad’, while several friends created leaf bracelets and necklaces for each other.

In the garden, our younger students were very busy tending to the patches.

The last of the snow peas were picked and eaten, some Gazanias were rescued from the flower beds at ELC and re-planted and watered, the last of the rocket plants were pulled out and disposed of in the large FOGO wheelie bin and the pea straw was chopped up and thrown back onto the garden bed to decompose, which restores nitrogen into the soil.

The garden bed is looking so bright and colourful and such a huge transformation from when the project started earlier in the year.
