NOTE!! CHANGE OF DATE:
New date is Monday 27th November at Gymea Pub 7:00pm.
The Family Educators in the Shire have organised a men’s only event to support Movember - men’s health and well-being.
All men are welcome! We are seeking donations for lucky door prizes and raffles that will be held during the night. Please see Ms Bowler for further details.
You are kindly invited to attend the next Family Mass to be held on Saturday, 25th November at 5.30pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church, to support the Year 2 students who are preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Thank you to the students and families of Year 2 for volunteering to be active members in the Mass and a BIG thank you to Mrs Mai and her family for assisting with the music once again! We invite people who love to sing to come and join the choir to contribute to the joyousness of the Christ the King Mass.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Soon Year 2 students will be making their first Reconciliation and the Parish program has begun.
Here is some great info from CathFamily for everyone about this important Sacrament.
Preparing for Reconciliation is a must. A simple five minutes to slow down and reflect is all you need to make this sacrament significant. One of the most useful tools to help you prepare is an Examination of Conscience.
Catholics are encouraged to examine their conscience every day and offer a prayer of sorrow. Having an examination on hand is useful not only for your prayer, but the Sacrament of Reconciliation, whether you go twice a year or twice a week!
We have a variety of options suitable for all ages to choose from and all come with check boxes you can mark to help you remember if it has been a while! This article from CathFamily is particularly relevant for Year 2 students and their parents. Click on the link to learn more:
At the last Bunnings event one of our families won the major raffle and several families won smaller gifts! Come along for a night of well-being connecting with your kids and other families. All welcome! Details to come soon!
Last week pre-school children from OLF Pre-school, next door, came along and joined together and participated in sporting activities organised by many Year 5 students. Check out the photos of a fun and engaging time had by all.
All Pre-schoolers, toddlers and babies with their parents or carers are welcome to Friday Fatima Friends at 9.10 am, after our school Prayer Assembly in the playground.
Week 7 - 24th November
Week 8 - 1st December
Week 9 - 8th December
N.B No playdates in Week 6 and 10
Hoping to see you at the Family Mass on Saturday, 25 November at 5.30 pm in the Church. We will celebrate our Year 2 students preparing for the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation).
The annual Parish Christmas markets have been organised for 9th/10th December in the Church Courtyard and you are invited! All money raised will go towards improvements for our Church. If you would like to donate goods you are welcome to drop them off at the Church. Examples of donations include Hand creams, body wash, tea bags, boxes of chocolates, honeys, jams etc.
