Vinnies Christmas Appeal

This year, the Vinnies Christmas Appeal focuses on supporting families struggling with the worsening cost-of-living crisis. For many, this year, Christmas is something they simply cannot afford. Not when they cannot even afford to put food on the table each day.

Your support this Christmas will help provide food, gifts and joy to people who have been struggling with the cost-of-living crisis for over a year. The Appeal through  OLF will run from Monday 27th Nov (Week 8) until Friday 8th December (Week 9).

This is only a short, two week Appeal!

Your support is greatly appreciated! We are asking that each grade support the Vinnies Christmas Appeal through the following ways:

Kinder: Baby and toddler items

Years 1 and 2: Items for 'young children' (Ages 4 -8 years old)

Years 3 and 4: Food hamper ideas

Years 5 and 6: Teenage items eg toiletries, gift cards etc

Please deliver all items to your child's class teacher.

Some not-so-pleasant facts......

Reconciliation Centre Christmas Hampers

Earlier this year the Staff of OLF supported the Reconciliation Centre at La Perouse by donating items for their Winter Appeal.

This year as part of our ongoing contributions, the OLF Staff are contributing items to assist those in need… The ministry Co-ordinator for the Centre has replied with:

“I can't thank you enough as I have just received a number of requests for hampers from the La Perouse community.”

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation

Last week, students from Year 2 attended their first session, in preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  The presenters were very impressed with the student’s knowledge of the New Testament readings that were shared and discussed! Well done Year 2 students !! Please keep these children in your prayers.

OLF and De La Salle Christmas Concert

Get ready ….. It’s getting closer!

Come prepared to be amazed by the talent of the OLF students on Wednesday 29th November at 5.30pm - 7pm.

Bring along a blanket or low chair, some picnic style munchies if you like (no alcohol please) and relax on De La Salle College oval while being entertained.

Have a fabulous fortnight everyone!
